Resorts

Playa de las Americas

This is the busiest and most popular resort in Tenerife stretching approximately 6 miles along the coastline.  There are a number of beaches boasting both golden & dark volcanic sand with a large selection of watersports available.

This resort is ideal for those looking to party, with a huge selection of shops, bars &  restaurants.  The main nightlife is focused around the Veronicas although you will find plenty of choice throughout the resort.  You will also find a waterpark and the San Eugenio shopping centre  amongst many other attractions in this resort.

Los Cristianos

This resort is the second busiest resort on the island but is more geared towards families and couples.  You will find Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas run together and you can walk from one resort to the other.

You will find a large selection of shops, bars & restaurants in Los Cristianos and there is a selection of beaches stretching along the coastline.  There is also a harbour in this resort from where you can take fishing trips, pleasure cruises, glass bottomed boats and ferries to Gomera.  All in all this is a popular lively resort and suitable for types of holidaymakers.

Costa Adeje/Fanabe

These resorts are really an extension of Playa de las Americas in the opposite direction to Los Cristianos.  This is quite a new and upcoming area and is extremely popular with all groups of travellers although some areas can be hilly.

There is also a golf course in Costa Adeje which is rapidly becoming the most popular golf course in Tenerife.  Over the last few years these resorts have become more amd more sought after and are recommended for all age groups.

Golf del Sur

This resort is located close to the airport and as the name suggests is centred around a championship golf course.  Golf del Sur itself is a fairly laid back and quiet resort and most suited to those looking for a relaxing holiday.

For those looking for bars, restaurants etc there is the square at Los Abrigos which is a small fishing vilage close to Golf del Sur, here you will find a picturesque harbour with numerous cafes and bars to relax in.

Puerto de la Cruz

The old town of Puerto de la cruz is centered around the small fishing port and is remarkably unchanged.  Puerto de la cruz is the Canaries earliest tourist centre.  The resort lies on a rocky coast with 3 small beaches of black sand, with an eight acre lido with seawater pools and fountains.  The resort attracts families with older children and couples that want to unwind.

Puerto de la cruz boasts a lively nightlife with plenty of bars to choose from for you evening entertainment.  For something a little more glamorous, spend the night at the luxurious and beautifully situated Casino Taoro.

Puerto Santiago

The beautiful resort of Puerto de Santiago still remains some its old world charm and sophistication, its one of the quieter resorts on the island, perfect for a relaxing break yet there is still plenty to see.

Puerto Santiago is a peaceful, hilly resort which is ideal for families and couples in search of a quiet getaway.  The resort boasts a small selection of shops and some excellent seafood restaurants.

Playa Paraisa

The small resort of Playa Paraisa is located on the outskirts of Costa Adeje, here you'll find a popular lido complex, a rocky beach and a selection of cafes and bars.

The many attractions of Playa de las Americas are a taxi ride away, but be prepared to sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet that is Playa Paraiso.

Costa del Silencio

A popular but peaceful resort for tourists and residents alike. Ideal for the British tourise and ex-pat with its array of shops, bars and restaurants who pride themselves in providing the very best of British produce.

A short walk takes you to the small but busy fishing village of Las Galletas which provides a look at the best of Canarian living and gastronomy.
